  All active GLOBE Partnerships are required to submit an annual report of their year's activities and plans and goals for the coming year.  Here are some highlights from the AMSTI-GLOBE 2006 annual report.  
     
 
  • Number of active GLOBE teachers: 3,879
  • Total number of GLOBE teachers trained: 3,885
  • Number of active GLOBE schools: 745
  • Total number of GLOBE schools: 777
  • Total number of GLOBE data measurements reported by schools: 156,565
  • Approximate Annual Expenditure for GLOBE:  $485,000
  • Workshops Conducted:  11
     
   
  The following were listed in the report as "Major Goals for the Coming Year":
 

1. To increase the percentage of schools served from 14 percent to 25 percent of

all K-8 schools in Alabama.

2. To provide GLOBE-trained teachers and support specialists in 10 of the 11 regional AMSTI sites statewide.

3. To increase the number of GLOBE trainers in the state through partner-hosted

trainings and other workshop opportunities.
